Miss USA 2011 will be the 60th Edition of Miss USA pageant. The finale will be held on June 19, 2011 in Las Vegas. Contestants from 50 states and the District of Columbia will be vying for the title of Miss USA 2011. Miss USA 2010, Rima Fakih, will crown her successor at the end of this event. The winner will represent the United States in Miss Universe 2011. The pageant will broadcast live on NBC. Miss USA is different from the Miss American Pageant. While Miss USA represents the country in Miss Universe, Miss America does not represent U.S. in any International beauty pageant. It is much more a scholarship contest than a beauty pageant.

Miss USA 2010, Rima Fakih will crown her successor at the end of this event.

The new Miss South Dakota USA is Chandra Burnham, 22, of Highmore, SD. This was her fourth attempt at the title. She was 1st runner up to Miss South Dakota USA in 2010 and 2009 and 2nd runner-up in 2008. She was also 4th runner-up in 2006, 2005, top 6 in 2004, and top 10 in 2003 in the South Dakota Teen USA pageant. Talk about perseverance! The 1st runner up was Fallyn Patterson, 2nd runner-up was Racine Schuring, 3rd runner-up was Katie Furguson, and 4th runner-up was Katie Pabst.
The new Miss South Dakota Teen USA 2011 is Lexy Schenk, 16, of Irene, SD. She was in the top 15 in last year’s pageant. The 1st runner-up was Kalani Jorgensen the 2nd runner-up was Katie Warkenthien, the 3rd runner-up was Melissa Baker, and the 4th runner-up was Connor Stewart.
The new Miss Tennessee USA is Ashley Durham, 20, of East Memphis who was crowned October 16th.
The new Miss Tennessee Teen USA is Kaitlin White representing Southern Tennessee who was crowned October 16th.
The new Miss Washington Teen USA is 16 year-old Cheyenne Van Tine. Her court includes 1st runner-up Khadijah Homolka, 2nd runner-up Olivia Cruzat, 3rd runner-up Lauren Lysne and 4th runner-up Delaney Ferrell.
ROAD TO MISS USA 2011 : Channing Pierce was crowned Miss Michigan USA 2011 on September 11 at Power Center for the Performing Art, The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Pierce is 23 year old and stands 5’9”. She will represent Michigan in Miss USA 2011 pageant. She was crowned by the current Miss USA Rima Fakih who is from Michigan.
MISS OREGON USA 2010 is Anna Prosser who was crowned in Bend on October 5th. She will compete in Miss USA 2011.
